Michiel Huisman, Raffey Cassidy, Denise Gough | Life with the shepherd (Michiel Huisman) is the only life that Selah (Raffey Cassidy) has known. The community itself has no modern technology and is hidden in the jungle, far from modern civilization. The shepherds are the guardians of the group, teachers and lovers. All members of the female group are women or girls. Selah is holy in faith, but also dangerous. She was raised as the daughter of a shepherd, but it was only a matter of time before she became a wife. In a meeting with authorities forcing women and shepherds to build a new inner Eden, Selah is increasingly skeptical of her beliefs and has a strange and bloody vision. The onset of puberty brought with it tough new rituals, and the first shocking insight into what happened to Shepherd women as they aged.
